Online Merchandising Manager

The Ecommerce Merchandiser will drive online sales through optimization and enhancement of site search, product categorization, site navigation and taxonomy, and up/cross sell opportunities. The Merchandiser will work closely with the Operations team to plan product ranges and troubleshoot underperforming categories. They will also work hand-and-and with the  Marketing team to improve site engagement rates, user experience, conversion rates, and transaction value.


Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable for new product onboarding, strategy and positioning
  • Work closely with buyers and other teams to plan product ranges
  • Develop and maintain a product pricing strategy
  • Develop and maintain vendor relationships
  • Analyze consumer behavior data in order to take actions and make recommendations for optimizing site taxonomy and categories
  • Collaborate with Purchasing, Sales and Marketing teams to increased sales and visibility
  • Work with Operation team to address inventory performance issues
  • Industry competitive analysis
  • Accountable for product onboard strategy and product affiliation selling implemented by the content creation team.
  • Accountable for products’ brand position throughout site



  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing or equivalent professional experience
  • 2+ years experience in Ecommerce and merchandising
  • The ability to communicate effectively and professionally
  • The ability to make good judgments and quick decisions
  • Ability to build relationships internally and externally
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical skills working with Google Analytics
  • Netsuite ERP, Magento Commerce or similar experience preferred


Position Details   

  • Full-time position
  • Internal position (not remote)
  • This position will require work hours beyond the normal workday based on the demands and seasonality of our business and customer volume.  It has a high demand for tight deadlines and immediacy in providing solutions and answers.
  • Travel is extremely minimal but required
  • Salary is negotiable, commensurate with experience
